Anglers from all over the world travel to Montana's Bitterroot valley to fish for wild trout on this 84 mile stretch of blue ribbon river. With it's legendary hatches of Salmon, Caddis and May Flies, the Bitterroot starts fishing well in March and continues to produce trophy size Westslope Cutthroat, Rainbow and Brown trout in record numbers through November.
The Selway River is located roughly 50 miles West of Darby Montana (SE Montana) in the Bitteroot Selway Wilderness. The Selway River in Central Idaho is one of those places that dry fly fisherman dream about. Due to it's remoteness catches of 20 to 30 Westslope Cutthroat trout on dry flies, in the 12 to 16 inch range are common with a few fish pushing 20".
Selway adventures offers both guided trips and do-it-yourself trips. You will be staying in the cabins at
Camp Paradise and fishing stretches of river both above and below the camp. Guided trips offer the ability to access some of the more remote locations on horseback, but don't worry there are plenty of fish just about anywhere you put a fly.
Bring your own gear or use our's. We have loaner gear to match just about anyone's preference or skill level. Although we specialize in dry fly fishing we also have a pretty good selection of ultra-light spinning gear for those anglers that like to catch fish but haven't mastered the art of fly-fishing.
