Montana has plenty of backcountry to be explored on horseback that is otherwise inaccessible to those who have limited time and are on foot. Selway Adventures offers horseback excursions in the Bitterroot Valley for all ages and all levels of experience.

Whether you are a novice or an experienced rider, we will match you with a horse that suits your skill level and temperament to ensure that you have the best possible horseback adventure with us! Trail rides vary in length and terrain. We offer morning and afternoon as well as all-day rides & Saddle and Paddle combinations.

Selway Adventures offers scenic float trips on the Bitterroot River. This river offers the rafter an enjoyable trip down one of the most scenic rivers in Montana.

The Bitterroot valley is wide and lush, offering the floater excellent views into the Bitterroot and Sapphire mountains. Wildlife is abundant, whitetail and mule deer are very common as are osprey and eagles and it is not unusual to see elk or moose.

Raft trips are offered as full or half day excursions or as a Paddle & Saddle combination with a horseback ride in the morning and a scenic float trip in the afternoon.

Float Trips on the Bitterroot River.

Half Day Trip (for 2 adults)- Price: $300.00
Half day float trips generally float five to six miles of river. Depending on which stretch and how fast the water is flowing half days are three to four hours in duration.
Full Day Trip (for 2 adults)- Price: $450.00
Full day float trips generally float ten to twelve miles of river. Depending on which stretch and how fast the water is flowing full days are six to eight hours in duration.

Saddles-n-Paddles - Full day of adventure! 3 hours of horseback trail riding, then grab a quick lunch and head to the river for a 3 hour scenic float on the bitterroot river. $200.00 per person with a 3 person minimum.
